The conference is intended to provide education on refugees, refugee culture, working across language barriers, and other topics of interest to individuals that encounter refugees in their daily life. We will also offer discussion time on the challenges and opportunities of being a refugee resettling community. The target audience is social service providers, (potential) employers, medical administration, school administrators, church groups, law enforcement, and other partners. Please note that the IRC is working on an educator focused training opportunity to be offered in early summer.
There is a $25 registration fee which covers breakfast, materials, and lunch. Check in is at 8am at Highland Church of Christ.
